Have you ever watched a person that you knew was truly grateful? A person that recognized the meaning of just what they had been given? Pope Leo XIV held back tears as he smiled and blessed the crowd at the Vatican. He is now the head of the largest church in the world, he is part of a line leading back to St Peter. He could have flaunted his new power but instead stayed humble. Once again, the conclave unanimously elected a new Pope with just 2 days of deliberation and voting. It appears from reports of those who know him, that his time as Pope will be filled with efforts, and remonstrations, to share our wealth with the poor and help the needy.

That’s a goal I can get behind.
