Did I should I know
that secrets untold unfold
as petals hide bees
Did I should I know
that secrets untold unfold
as petals hide bees
The tension between ‘did I’ and ‘should I’ suggests curiosity battles with consequence. But if bees need to reach nectar and petals must open eventually, isn’t the question not whether we should seek secrets, but whether we’re prepared for what we’ll pollinate in the process?
Thank you for the interpretation. I like that idea of what we might begin, or create, by seeking. That reminds me of the little I understand about the physics of our seeing something changing its properties. The native bees in my yard sleep in half-open flowers. I find them in the cool spring mornings.
