Empedocles, Epicurus & Charity

Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it can only be transformed or transferred from one form to another. *Wikipedia

In the Bible, charity is the highest form of love, a virtue that includes giving and caring for others. It is a translation of the Greek word agapē, which also means “love”. *Britannica

Every second is a new creation. Every second brings a change, and the world of the previous second is a half-visible shadow that is fading into another form, as the current second follows its path to becoming something else. If we could remain still and watch the flow of time around us, the future would become clearer as the past faded from view, while the current moment would stretch out on both sides of us to infinity. Unending change is the norm. Our choices, affect the current moment, and the past, and a future built on that past.

Emotions are energy. They are energy that we can focus and control without the need of outside assistance. Our nervous system is just one of our energy transit systems. It acts as a highway for electrical pulses that create a smile from a happy thought, or a clenched fist from anger. We translate energy from one form to another constantly and when we do that we affect our world and thereby also affect the world, and others, around us.

Have you ever manifested a fight? Have you felt one building? In yourself? In those around you? We manifest/create things in our environment, and in ourselves, regularly and don’t realize that that is what we’re doing. Most of these things only happen within ourselves, or within an arena where we are in sole control of the choices. Quitting smoking comes to mind. We can manifest a lifestyle where we do not smoke. Why manifest a lifestyle rather than just quit? Because to manifest change, everything has to change that is related to the thing you want to change. Which is also why most successful change deals with things in which we control the choices.

What to do if you want abundance then? We would need to manifest a lifestyle where we have abundance. That would be very difficult from scratch. It’s more efficient (easier) to define what in our current life is already abundant and increase the prominence of that in our lives. First, that requires us to define abundance; which means we need to know how much of a good thing is enough. We do that by letting the energy flow through us and out to the world around us, like the sluice gate on a dam. How much energy comes in and how much goes out to keep us topped off at a satisfying level is what we need to know. That outlet of energy is where we share our abundance and it’s necessary to let it flow out so more can come in.

Finding your abundance, what you already have, takes knowing yourself and opening your eyes to all the forms abundance can take. One type of abundance is no more precious than another, it’s what we do with the energy of it that matters. That flow, in and out of the reservoir, can create the world we would like to live in.
